It was presented in 1963 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Its target clientele was mainly composed by large industrial heads of state.
It was built in three variants: Limousine, Bus, and Landaulet.
In addition to these three models, an extra one was built specifically for the Pope in 1965.
