The first successful English car...

Morris Minor Cabriolet

The Minor is a car produced by the British carmaker Morris between 1928 and 1934, to then be taken up again in 1948 through 1971. The second Minor series, called Minor MM, was produced in Oxford. It was available as a four-seats and it was possible to choose between the sedan model with two of four doors and the convertible model. The Morris Minor was equipped with a 918 CC engine capable of delivering 27.5 horsepower to push the car up to 100 km/h. It had four drum brakes. Some cosmetic changes were made in 1949, such as moving the headlights from the grille to allow export of the car to the United States. In the late fifties another innovation was implemented; the water pump, which allowed the Morris to offer the heating system.
