The Giulietta Spider was built by Alfa Romeo between 1955 and 1962. It was designed by the famous designer Pininfarina, who inspired another model, the Lancia Aurelia B24. Compared to the Sprint version of the car, the Giulietta had better finishings in the interior. It was, from the very begging, a very successful model. The first cars were equipped with a panoramic windshield with sliding side windows that attached to the hood; later a more conventional windscreen was adopted with flat side windows. The Giulietta Spider was mounted with a four cylinders 1,290 cc. engine. The base was a light alloy with cast iron cylinders. The head was also a light alloy with the spark plug in the center of the combustion chamber. The supply was a double body Solex carburetor, with two valves per cylinder, arranged in V, controller by two overhead camshafts with chain drive. The traction was on the back. The car had drum breaks on all four wheels. The front suspensions were on independent wheels, with wishbones, coil springs, telescopic shock absorbers and anti-roll bar. The rear suspensions were on axle, with vertical coil springs.
Rent a Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider for a tour on Lake Como, Venice or Tuscany. Or to admire the wonders of the French Riviera, passing through Nice and Montecarlo.
