The Morgan 4/4 is one of the Morgan cars that has been produced since 1966. It was the first car with four wheels produced by the British carmaker. The previous cars, in fact, equipped with three wheels. The first version was equipped with 25 Kw DC motor 1122 and was named 4-4. A few years later the engine was replaced with the more powerful 1267 CC valve engine and in 1937 a 4-seats version was introduced. The second Morgan set, called 4/4, was launched in 1955, and despite it being very similar in appearance to the previous 4-4, it was essentially a new car. The chassis had been designed on the same one used for the Morgan Plus 4, but the front suspension was replaced with a rigid axis while the rear ones with leaf spring and disk brakes were mounted. The engine also underwent improvements: a Ford 100E mated to a three-relations was mounted. In February 1968 the Morgan 4/4 was introduced equipped with a Ford 1600 CC engine.
The production of the Morgan 4/4 continues to this day. Out specimen is called Four Seats as it is capable of carrying four people.
